Jose Guerrero aka Telomante is a prolific musician who has been touring the world and recording with many different projects for more than 20 years. He was part of cult bands like Betunizer or Jupiter Lion, playing intensively from the most legendary underground places to renowned music festivals such as Primavera Sound or Sonar. He composes under different pseudonyms to explore musical styles and expressions.

“Al margen de la visión” is the third album by Jose Guerrero under his alias Telomante. After the cosmic „Codantera“ (moli del tro, 2023) – an abstract instrumental album full of subtle sonic experiments – Telomante turns to “pop” structures (if it can be defined as such), his voice acting as both narrator and novelty factor.

With soft, dreamlike melodies and suggestive, cryptic lyrics, the album proposes a retro-futurist plea, propelled by paranoid rhythmic repetition and bizarre synthesizers bathing in beautiful mystery. Throughout, Guerrero wades in the dark and luminous, unmoored by convention and obscured in a lo-fi haze.

Telomante’s previous album „Codantera“ (moli del tro, 2023) was a contemplative stroll through soundscapes that leave a lot of space for improvisation, where harmonic fields and abrupt experimentations meet on the same level. The sonic warmth and the strength that emanates from it make this album a jewel of minimalist electronic music.
